Local Freight Services owns 2000 square-meters of fully equipped warehousing space in Alberton North. Built from the ground up, the LFS premises laments itself to be one of the most modern and beautiful properties in the area.
All our products are categorized, stored and electronically documented in terms of our state of the art quality management system.
Our warehouses and their content are secured by full time CCTV surveillance and on site guarding and access control.
Our Delivery Fleet
Local Freight Services has a 32 strong distribution fleet of 1 • 30 ton transport trucks.
Our transport vehicles are kept and maintained in pristine mechanical and roadworthy condition. Trucks are regularly serviced and checked. No Local Freight truck leaves our premises without a standard mechanical roadworthy spot check.
Our Drivers
Local Freight selects our truck drivers with utmost care. All our truck drivers are given regular refresher and upskilling driver training.
Our Monitoring & Communication
Local Freight implements monitoring and communication systems that enable us to maintain unbroken contact with every single truck driver.
All our vehicles are fitted with state of the art tracking systems that allow us to monitor the progress of our entire fleet through GPRS satellite systems, as well as with onboard performance computers that monitor and analyse driving aspects such as speeding and road control.
Our mobile communication systems enable us to keep our clients informed on the exact progress of their cargo at any and all times.
Our Delivery
Local Freight distributes up to 2 million litres of lubricant countrywide per month to several thousand garage forecourts and other destinations.
Our principal distribution areas are inland South Africa. Sub-contractors are engaged for coastal routes.
For destinations less than 120 km from base we guarantee delivery within 24 hours. For longer distances delivery is guaranteed within 72 hours.
Local Freight understands that time is money. We take all steps possible to cut even our guaranteed minimum delivery times to the bone.
